Terraza Biodiversa

Ubicada en los cerros de Bogotá, esta terraza de un apartamento privado fue concebida como un área social exterior que fuera una continuación de lo que ocurre internamente en el apartamento. Se creó una división espacial para crear una zona de comedor y BBQ y otra zona de sala al aire libre. La vegetación se concibió de una manera estructurante, ya que era importante crear un ambiente acogedor e intimo sin tener que sacrificar las grandes visuales que tiene la terraza de toda la ciudad. Se diseñaron materas en concreto de diferentes formas y tamaños y de distintos tonos de grises y ocres. Se escogieron arboles de porte alto para enmarcar ciertos espacios y visuales y se complementaron que especies de porte medio y bajo que brindan un carácter biodiverso y único a este lugar. De igual manera se diseñó una banca – matera en donde al sentarse no solo se aprecia la vista si no que el aroma de lavandas, romeros y hierbabuena acompañan la experiencia del visitante. Otro elemento fundamental fue introducir piletas de piedra diseñadas por 2Latitudes que refrescan el ambiente, brindan tranquilidad y atraen la avifauna.

Located on the hills of Bogotá, this terrace of a private apartment was conceived as an outside social area that was a continuation of what happens internally in the apartment. A spatial division was created to introduce a dining and BBQ area and another outdoor lounge area. The vegetation was conceived in a structuring way, since it was important to create a cozy and intimate atmosphere without having to sacrifice the great visuals that the terrace has throughout the city. Concrete planters of different shapes and sizes and different shades of gray and ocher were designed. Tall trees were chosen to frame certain spaces and visuals, and medium and low species that provide a biodiverse and unique character to this place serve as a complementary green structure. In the same way, a bench – planter was designed where, when sitting, not only the view is appreciated, but the aroma of lavenders, rosemary and peppermint accompany the visitor’s experience. Another fundamental element was to introduce stone pools designed by 2Latitudes that refresh the environment, provide tranquility and attract birds.
